Kicking Off the Season with the 100th Annual Thanksgiving Classic
For the third consecutive year, Messina’s had the honor of catering the Annual Thanksgiving Classic at the Fair Grounds Race Course. This century-old New Orleans tradition kicked off the holiday season and racing calendar, drawing elegantly dressed guests for a day of horse racing, cocktails, and an indulgent Thanksgiving feast. Our lavish Club House Buffet featured holiday favorites like Roasted Turkey with Cornbread Dressing and Prime Rib, expertly crafted by our culinary team.
Spreading Holiday Cheer with Our Gourmet-To-Go Menus
Messina’s helped families spend less time in the kitchen and more time celebrating with loved ones with our Thanksgiving and Christmas Gourmet-To-Go Menus. With chef-prepared holiday dinner packages, à la carte seasonal favorites, and decadent desserts, families could leave the cooking to us and focus on making memories. Our pick-up and delivery options brought the flavors of Messina’s straight to holiday tables across New Orleans, making gatherings even more special.
The Misi by Messina’s Makes Its Grand Debut
December also marked the official launch of The Misi, Messina’s newest exclusive venue located in the historic JAX Brewery in the French Quarter. With over 8,500 square feet of versatile event space, The Misi by Messina’s blends modern elegance with panoramic Mississippi River views, offering a breathtaking backdrop for corporate and social gatherings. The venue’s first events—including the MPI Gulf States Chapter Networking Event—received rave reviews.
Messina’s Honored at the 2024 NACE Awards
Messina’s Catering was proud to be recognized at the 2024 NACE New Orleans Holiday Awards, receiving the Program of the Year Award for our execution of the Tasty Bites of the South Fundraiser. Adding to the excitement, Stacey Messina, CPCE, was honored with the Industry Legacy Award for her lasting impact on the catering and events industry.
A Well-Deserved Celebration at the House of Blues
To close out the season, Messina’s team gathered at the House of Blues Foundation Room for our Annual Christmas Party. With over 130 team members in attendance, the night was filled with festive cocktails, dancing, karaoke, and a well-earned toast to a remarkable year.
