Messina’s co-owner Stacey Messina and Executive Chef Mark Daniels joined NOLA Now from the Rouses Kitchen to share what’s new—and cook on camera. Chef Mark seared blackened Gulf redfish over a corn maque choux risotto cake live on air, while Stacey showcased our newest rooftop venue, The Crescent Room at The MISI in JAX Brewery, which opened in December. With sweeping Mississippi River views, the space has quickly become a favorite for private events, especially for convention guests looking to step beyond the hotel and experience the heart of the city.
On air, Stacey also announced that this November, The MISI will expand to the 4th floor, bringing our total footprint to roughly 15,000 square feet across two levels. The combined space can host nearly 1,000 guests, and with a full kitchen on each floor, the venues can operate together or individually. The expansion adds flexible, large-scale, non-hotel event capacity to the French Quarter and marks a major milestone for Messina’s—letting us say “yes” to bigger ideas while delivering the chef-driven cuisine and personal service that define our brand.
With the holidays around the corner, Chef Mark also teased seasonal menus leaning into fall flavors—butternut squash, cranberries, walnuts, and crispy fried turkey—blending fresh ideas with the classics our clients love.
