Messina’s Catering & Events is thrilled to expand our footprint at the historic Fair Grounds Race Course for the 2025–2026 racing season. Beginning this fall, Messina’s is taking the reins of the coveted 4th & 5th floor Clubhouse food and beverage program, bringing new energy, chef-driven cuisine, and the warm, attentive service our guests know and love to one of New Orleans’ most iconic venues.
Under this exclusive partnership, The Clubhouse by Messina’s will manage all Clubhouse dining and private event spaces year-round, including suites, receptions, and special events. Messina’s will also continue to cater private events throughout the property—including the Black Gold Room and other private suites—bringing our full-service expertise to celebrations of every size.
During live racing, guests can enjoy upscale daily dining along with a classic Sunday Brunch at the Track, launching December 7. The brunch experience will feature Bottomless Mimosas, a Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar, and New Orleans brunch favorites prepared by Messina’s award-winning culinary team.
Open since 1872, Fair Grounds is the nation’s third-oldest operating racetrack and a beloved New Orleans tradition. With live racing from November 2025 through March 2026, the Clubhouse will offer a welcoming, upgraded setting for fans and families to gather, dine, and enjoy a full day at the track—including marquee race days like the Thanksgiving Classic and Black Friday racing, where guests can opt into all-inclusive experiences with festive cocktails, open bar service, and holiday buffets.
