One of the region’s top food and music festivals, Boudin, Bourbon & Beer brings together over 70 of the nation’s best chefs and a star-studded music lineup to New Orleans on November 8, 2019. Messina’s Catering and Events is proud to have been selected to provide beverage management services as well as coordinating the on-site catering needs for the chefs in attendance.
What is Boudin, Bourbon & Beer?
Founded in 2002 by Chef Emeril Lagasse and his wife Alden, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities to inspire, mentor and enable youth to reach their full potential through culinary, nutrition and arts education. Boudin, Bourbon & Beer is one of the Foundation’s key fundraisers.
Ticket holders are treated to:

- Open bars serving a variety of premium bourbons, local craft beers, premium spirits, fine wines & more by local Mixologists
- Featured musical entertainment including Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Grace Potter, Fruition and Motel Radio.

Catering & Event Planning
The event features some of the nation’s top chefs, each one cooking up their own signature dish. Messina’s is fully equipped to service large-scale off-site catering events such as this. We have two commissaries, a fleet of Messina’s branded trucks (including lift-gate trucks, kitchen trucks and refrigerated trucks), portable convection ovens, portable fryers, portable grills, portable hot boxes, portable steam wells, jambalaya iron kettles and portable ice cream freezers. We are working closely with event staff to place equipment and set it up for each chef.
Beverages
Messina’s has also been contracted to serve all beverages during the event. This includes the finest pours of craft beer, bourbon and wine. Messina’s is a trusted provider due to our focus on employee training. Our staff is diligently trained on alcohol policies, ServeSafe and Responsible Vendor trained, TIPS trained and TEAM technique trained.
