Messina’s was honored to take part in Archbishop Rummel High School’s highly anticipated Beast Feast on March 26th — an annual celebration of bold flavors and culinary craftsmanship.
The event brought together more than 200 local culinary groups, including Deanie’s Seafood, Bear’s Poboys, Segnette Landing, and Atiba Coffee House, along with dedicated alumni teams, all coming together to showcase their finest wild game–inspired creations.
Representing Messina’s was Chef Mark, Messina’s Director of Culinary and a proud 2006 Rummel alumnus. Chef Mark wowed attendees with his signature Duck Confit over Dirty Rice, delivering a rich and unforgettable flavor experience that stood out among the evening’s wide array of offerings — from Turtle Soup and Nutria Tacos to Boudin Pizza and Crawfish Pie.
Chef Mark’s participation reflected not only his culinary expertise but also his deep roots in the local community and his ongoing connection to his alma mater. Events like Beast Feast allow Messina’s to celebrate great food while supporting important local traditions. All proceeds from the evening benefit the Archbishop Rummel Alumni Association, helping to sustain the school’s mission.
Messina’s Catering & Events is proud to be part of this meaningful celebration that brings people together through food, fellowship, and a shared commitment to excellence.
