Messina’s Co-Owner Becomes Only Certified CPCE Caterer in New Orleans

The Certified Professional in Catering and Events (CPCE) is a nationally recognized certification program and the mark of excellence for catering and event professionals.  The Program was established by the National Association for Catering & Events (NACE).

Stacey Messina, Co-Owner & VP of Sales of Marketing for Messina’s Catering and Events, recently passed the exam, making her the only certified CPCE Catering Company Owner in the city of New Orleans.

What Does the CPCE Certification Mean?

CPCE is the only professional certification focused exclusively on the business of catering and events.  It is earned by taking a 2.5-hour exam that covers 8 core competencies: accounting, beverage management, catering services, contracts and agreements, food production, event management, human resources, and sales and marketing.  It allows graduates to understand all components of an event. What is NACE?

The National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) is the first non-profit national organization for caterers, event planners and event professionals that provides education, certification and a network of resources for members in all segments of the hospitality industry.  It’s the go-to resource and community for catering and event professionals nationwide.  NACE was established more than 60 years ago, and has more than 40 chapters across the country and 3,500 members and growing.  NACE empowers catering and event professionals by providing them with industry-leading education, tools and resources, and a community in which to learn from.
